Property Management Intern Information:
TLC Management Company (www.chicagorentals.com) is looking Property Management Interns to work at beautiful historic residential and commercial apartment buildings located within a number of Chicago’s premier lakefront communities.

This position is ideal for candidates that want to learn more about the apartment industry and about business in general including concepts such as; marketing and outreach efforts, sales and traffic conversion, budgeting and forecasting, supply and demand, pricing, customer retention, etc. This program is available year-round and will follow traditional academic semesters (Summer, Fall, and Spring session).
The duties and responsibilities of our Property Management Interns include:
Utilizing on-line marketing tools, posting ads as well as community outreach and B-2-B communications to increase awareness and traffic to our properties.
Giving tours of our communities and showing prospects the benefits of living at a TLC Community. Preparing lease documentation and paperwork associated with move in and move outs.
Providing exceptional customer service to our current and future residents.
Handling a variety of office tasks including posting rent checks, scheduling appointments, managing delinquency, and writing up work orders.
Reviewing and assisting with a variety of financial reports including, income statements, budget variance reports, receivables/delinquency reports, etc.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Ability to work 1-2 days per week (M – F) and on Saturdays.
• Friendly, professional, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Be very organized and be able to handle a variety of tasks.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Yardi knowledge helpful but not required.
• Previous leasing or property management experience preferred but not required.
Compensation for the Property Management Intern will be $10 per hour plus commission for new leases.
